Acquirers, Sub-acquirers and Institutions: find out how to use SERAP!
On December 12, 2018, Resolution
No. 4,707 / 2018 of the CMN was published, which establishes conditions and
procedures for the performance by financial institutions of credit operations
linked to payment arrangement receivables and Circular No. 3,924 / 2018, which
provide for the use of payment arrangement receivables as collateral for credit
CIP maintains its position to
provide, through SERAP and SAR, the requirements established by the Central
Bank of Brazil, and ratifies that:
1. The SERAP allows financial institutions to communicate, to the
acquirers and sub- acquirers, the existence of credit operations with
collateral of card receivables, on behalf of commercial establishments that
have relationships with these institutions, and the data that allow the deposit
of the values for settlement of these operations. Access to information is free
of charge to the acquirers and sub-acquires, participating in the service.
2. The SAR allows the acquirers and sub-acquirers to send to the financial
institutions the future agenda of the receivables of credit cards, enabling the
financial institutions to analyze the availability of credit to commercial

participants listed in the aforementioned list, do not need to make any
systemic alterations to initiate their interactions with SERAP.
